Reverend Dr. Andrew T. Draper is the founding pastor of Urban Light Community Church. He holds a PhD in theological ethics from the University of Aberdeen and a Master of Divinity from Winebrenner Theological Seminary. Dr. Draper serves as the Executive Director of Winebrenner, is a member of the National Administrative Council of the Churches of God, and is a trustee at the University of Findlay. In addition to being the Teaching Pastor at Urban Light, he is a theologian, teacher, speaker and author.
Andrew’s passions are preaching, discipleship, reconciliation and collaborative vision. He has written multiple books and articles on race, disability, reconciliation, justice and the church. Most Sundays you will find Andrew behind the pulpit preaching, but you can also find him during the week planning and organizing the themes and texts for weekly messages and studies.
In his private time, Andrew enjoys reading and spending time with his family. His wife, Leslie, the founding Executive Director of Inspire Academy, and he live in the South Central neighborhood of Muncie and have two college-aged sons, Aidan and Alister.
